VSP Home Care’s nurses have completed nursing courses and practical training, earned nursing certificates and gained experience working in different hospitals. Our team includes experienced nurses who also work in hospital settings.
Speak with us about the proposed nurse’s qualifications, relevant hospital experience, languages and suitability for your family’s care needs before confirming a service.
Before confirming, ask the team about the assigned nurse’s qualification, registration where applicable, identity checks, relevant training and languages spoken. These details must be confirmed for your assignment.
Match the role to the person’s care needs
Every care request is different. Daily assistance, support after a hospital stay and a prescribed clinical task can require different skills. Explain the work involved and ask the team about relevant experience, qualifications and any registration that applies to the proposed nurse’s role.
Comfort and communication matter
Tell the team which language the patient understands, how they communicate and whether they have a nurse gender preference. If the patient uses a hearing aid, screen reader, communication board or other support, explain what helps them take part in decisions. Availability must be confirmed for each request.
Get to know your care team
Before you confirm, ask to discuss the caregiver proposed for your family: their role, experience, qualifications, language and agreed duties.
VSP Home Care provides 24-hour care services with qualified, trained and experienced nurses. We are 100% committed to high-quality, professional care and a friendly, respectful environment for your family.
